भारत सरकार के अनुसार भारत में रोजाना महाराष्ट्र, कर्नाटक, पंजाब, मध्य प्रदेश, गुजरात, केरल, तमिलनाडु और छत्तीसगढ़ राज्यों से सबसे अधिक कोरोना के मामले है. केवल इन राज्यों से ही 84.5% नए मामले सामने आए हैं. महाराष्ट्र, केरल, पंजाब, कर्नाटक और छत्तीसगढ़ से 80% सक्रिय मामले हैं.
