उपायुक्त, त्रिची सीमा शुल्क के अनुसार, एआईयू त्रिची ने 717 ग्राम वजन वाली 24K शुद्धता वाली सोने की ईंट जब्त की, जिसकी कीमत 42.91 लाख रुपये है. 17 अक्टूबर को त्रिची हवाई अड्डे पर कुआलालंपुर से आए एक यात्री द्वारा मलाशय में छुपाए गए कैप्सूल में रखे गए सोने के पेस्ट से सोने की ईंट निकाली गई थी.
