Chandigarh: आईएएस अधिकारी के बेटे ने खुद को गोली मारकर की आत्महत्या

चंडीगढ़: पंजाब आईएएस अधिकारी के बेटे ने कथित तौर पर खुद को गोली मार की आत्महत्या कर ली. यूटी एसएसपी कुलदीप चहल ने बताया, विजिलेंस टीम पूछताछ के लिए यहां (आईएएस संजय पोपली के घर) पहुंची और गोली चलने की आवाज सुनी. वेरिफिकेशन के बाद, उन्होंने महसूस किया कि उनके बेटे ने अपनी लाइसेंसी बंदूक से खुद को गोली मार ली है. उन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया.

पंजाब विजिलेंस ब्यूरो ने पिछले हफ्ते आईएएस संजय पोपली और एक अन्य को भ्रष्टाचार के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया था. उसे चार दिन के पुलिस रिमांड पर लिया गया था. उनकी रिमांड की अवधि आज समाप्त हो रही थी, इसलिए विजिलेंस टीम एक और पूछताछ के लिए उनके आवास पर पहुंची थी.
