No GST On Gangajal: 'गंगाजल' पर कोई जीएसटी नहीं, केंद्र सरकार ने पूजा सामग्री के तहत दी है छूट

केंद्रीय अप्रत्यक्ष कर और सीमा शुल्क बोर्ड ने स्पष्ट किया है कि 'गंगाजल' को जीएसटी (No GST On Gangajal) से छूट दी गई है. सीबीआईसी ने कहा है कि देश भर के घरों में पूजा में गंगाजल का उपयोग किया जाता है और इस पूजा सामग्री को जीएसटी के तहत छूट दी गई है.

बोर्ड ने बताया कि पूजा सामग्री पर जीएसटी को लेकर जीएसटी काउंसिल ने 18-19 मई 2017, और 3 जून, 2017 को अपनी मीटिंग में चर्चा की थी, जिसमें इन्हें छूट की श्रेणी में रखा गया था. ऐसे में जीएसटी की शुरुआत के साथ ही ये आइटम जीएसटी के दायरे से बाहर रहे हैं.
