RBI के मुताबिक, 2000 के नोटों पर बैन लगाने के बाद से अब तक 97% से ज्यादा नोट वापस जमा कर लिए गए हैं, जबकि 3.38% नोट अभी भी सिस्टम में मौजूद हैं. इनकी कुल वैल्यू 8470 करोड़ रुपये है. 2000 रुपये के बैंक नोट अभी भी वैध मुद्रा बने रहेंगे. RBI ने बताया कि बीते साल 19 मई 2023 को कारोबार की समाप्ति पर 2000 के नोट की ये वैल्यू 3.56 लाख करोड़ रुपये थी. 29 फरवरी 2024 को कारोबार की समाप्ति पर 2000 के नोटों का कुल मूल्य घटकर 8,470 करोड़ रुपये हो गया.
