ममता बनर्जी बंगला में होने वाले दूसरे चरण से पहले बुधवार को विपक्ष के नेताओं को पत्र लिखा था. पत्र में उन्होंने कहा कि मेरा दृढ़ विश्वास है कि लोकतंत्र और संविधान पर बीजेपी के हमलों के खिलाफ एकजुट होने की जरूर है. ममता बनर्जी के इस पत्र को लेकर जेपी नड्डा ने कहा कि ममता बनर्जी की नाव डूब रही है और वे अपनी डूबते नव को बचाने के लिए विपक्ष के नेताओं को पत्र लिखा है.
