फिल्म द केरला स्टोरी (The Kerala Story) को लेकर CPI सांसद बिनॉय विश्वम ने सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री अनुराग ठाकुर को पत्र लिखकर कहा है कि "फिल्म का आधिकारिक ट्रेलर केरल और मुस्लिम समुदाय के खिलाफ राजनीतिक रूप से प्रेरित घृणा अभियान के अलावा और कुछ नहीं है." सांसद ने उनसे "फिल्म के माध्यम से किए जा रहे झूठे दावों की जांच शुरू करने" का आग्रह किया है.
