हफीज ने मानद सदस्य के रूप में अपने कार्यकाल को समाप्त कर दिया. उन्होंने एक सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट साझा किया जिसमें उन्होंने घोषणा की कि वह पद छोड़ रहे हैं और पीसीबी अध्यक्ष जका अशरफ को धन्यवाद भी दिया. हफीज ने यह भी बताया कि जब भी जका अशरफ को उनकी जरूरत होगी वह हमेशा उपलब्ध रहेंगे.
