कर्नाटक रक्षणा वेदिके स्वाभिमानी सेना के सदस्यों ने अभिनेता सिद्धार्थ द्वारा उनकी फिल्म 'चिक्कू' के लिए आयोजित की जा रही एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में बाधा डाली और उनसे कार्यक्रम स्थल छोड़ने की मांग की. सदस्यों ने कहा कि उनके लिए यह प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस करने का यह उपयुक्त समय नहीं है क्योंकि तमिलनाडु कर्नाटक से कावेरी नदी का पानी मांग रहा है. बाद में सिद्धार्थ ने थिएटर छोड़ दिया.
