5 फरवरी: एआईएमआईएम (AIMIM) चीफ असदुद्दीन ओवैसी (Asaduddin Owaisi) ने बागपत (Baghpat) के छपरौली में जनसभा को संबोधित किया. इस दौरान उन्होंने खुद पर हुए जानलेवा हमले (Attack on Owaisi) का जिक्र करते हुए उन्होंने कहा " मुझ पर गोली चलाने वाले वही लोग हैं, जिन्होंने गांधीजी पर गोली चलाई थी. अगर एक ओवैसी मारा जाएगा तो एक और ओवैसी जन्म लेगा. अगर आप (बीजेपी) आम लोगों को नहीं बचा सकते तो मुझे जेड श्रेणी की सुरक्षा देने का क्या मतलब है. बंदूकें मुझे नहीं रोक सकतीं."
