असम में कांग्रेस को बड़ा झटका लगा है. असम प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी (APCC) के महासचिव कमरुल इस्लाम चौधरी (Kamrul Islam Choudhury) ने कांग्रेस पार्टी की प्राथमिक सदस्यता से इस्तीफा दे दिया. इस्तीफा "पिछले कुछ महीनों के दौरान कांग्रेस के दिशाहीन और भ्रमित नेतृत्व" के कारण कहा गया था.
