वाराणसी की एमपी/एमएलए कोर्ट ने 32 साल पुराने हत्या के एक मामले में जेल में बंद गैंगस्टर मुख्तार अंसारी को सोमवार को दोषी करार दिया. अंसारी को उम्र कैद की सजा सुनाई गई. पांच बार के विधायक अंसारी पर 1991 में एक कांग्रेस नेता की हत्या का आरोप था. 3 अगस्त, 1991 को कांग्रेस नेता और पूर्व विधायक अजय राय के भाई अवधेश राय की वाराणसी में उनके घर के बाहर गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई थी.
