झारखंड विधानसभा चुनाव 2019 (Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2019) के तीसरे चरण के लिए वोटिंग जारी है. मतदान सुबह सात बजे शुरू हुआ. तीसरे चरण (Third Phase) में गुरुवार को झारखंड के 17 सीटों पर मतदान हो रहा है. तीसरे चरण की वोटिंग के लिए लगभग चालीस हजार चुनाव कर्मियों को तैनात किया गया है. इस चरण के चुनाव में ऑल झारखंड स्टूडेंट यूनियन (AJSU) के नेता सुदेश महतो और झारखंड विकास मोर्चा (JMM) प्रमुख व पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री बाबूलाल मरांडी की प्रतिष्ठा दांव पर है. इस चरण के चुनाव में सिल्ली और राजधनवार के मतदाता भी अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग करेंगे. सिल्ली से जहां आजसू की ओर से सुदेश महतो चुनावी मैदान में भाग्य आजमा रहे हैं. वहीं, राजधनवार से बाबूलाल मरांडी ताल ठोक रहे हैं.
इसके साथ ही प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी गुरुवार को झारखंड विधानसभा चुनाव प्रचार में हिस्सा लेंगे. वह धनबाद के बरवाअड्डा में दिन में 11 बजे जनसभा संबोधित करेंगे. रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह भी हीरनपुर बाजार, जमुआ और दुमरी में जनसभाएं करेंगे. झारखंड में विधानसभा चुनाव कार्यक्रम घोषित होने के बाद से प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी का यह चौथा दौरा होगा.

उधर, दिल्ली की एक अदालत द्वारा बिहार के मुजफ्फरपुर में एक शेल्टर होम में अनेक लड़कियों के कथित यौन उत्पीड़न और यौन हिंसा से जुड़े मामले में गुरुवार को निर्णय सुनाए जाने की संभावना है. इस मामले में बृजेश ठाकुर नाम का व्यक्ति प्रमुख आरोपी है. अदालत ने 20 मार्च 2018 को मामले में आरोप तय किए थे. आरोपियों में आठ महिलाएं और 12 पुरुष शामिल हैं.
