Shoaib Malik Match Fixing: 22 जनवरी को खुलना टाइगर्स के खिलाफ मैच के एक ओवर में तीन नो-बॉल फेंकने के बाद शोएब मलिक का बांग्लादेश प्रीमियर लीग (BPL) कॉन्ट्रैक्ट कथित तौर पर समाप्त कर दिया गया है. अनुभवी पाकिस्तानी क्रिकेटर दुनिया भर में कई टी20 लीग में खेल चुके हैं. शेर-ए-बांग्ला स्टेडियम में मैच के दौरान एक बार नहीं बल्कि तीन बार ओवरस्टेप गेंदबाजी की और 18 रन दिए. इसके बाद मैच फिक्सिंग का संदेह पैदा हुआ. बांग्लादेश की रिपोर्टों के अनुसार, इस घटना के बाद मलिक को फॉर्च्यून बरिशल के खिलाड़ी के रूप में उनकी सेवाओं से मुक्त कर दिया गया है. कथित तौर पर फॉर्च्यून बरिशाल टीम के मालिक ने शोएब मलिक के अनुबंध की समाप्ति की पुष्टि की थी.
